Get Involved with Residence Life

More in this section...

We encourage all residents to get involved in their residence hall community.  Opportunities for involvement include leadership roles, employment opportunities or actively participating in events held by the Resident Advisors. See below for all involvement opportunities offered through Residence Life.

Resident Student Organizations

Wabash Community Council (WCC)

Roosevelt's Wabash Community Council is a student-run organization established to represent the needs and issues pertinent to every residence hall. WCC seeks input from all residents and strives to build community, encourage personal growth, and improve residence life overall. Through communication, leadership development, educational, social, and cultural programming, as well as addressing campus issues, WCC will provide opportunities to inform and educate residents. Examples of previous programs hosted by WCC include:

  • Holiday Celebrations
  • Movie Outings
  • Awareness Dialogues

Mission Statement: The Wabash Community Council (WCC) of Roosevelt University desires to meet the needs of the Wabash residence hall by continually seeking improvements in our living environment, providing accessible service for our residents, and presenting engaging programs that meet residents' needs and interests."

National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH)

The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH), an extension of the Residence Hall Association (RHA), gives national recognition to students who exemplify a strong belief in educational values, campus involvement, servitude, and a sense of community within the residence halls.  Only 1% of the residence hall population is allowed the honorary membership and once chosen, members retain their NRHH recognition for life.

To be qualified, an individual must:

  • Have living experience in residence halls prior to submitting an application
  • Have a desire to improve the living experience at Roosevelt University
  • Be in good standing with the university
  • Have at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale

RA Hosted Programs and Events

Each month RAs host a variety of programs for their floors and building-wide events for the whole Wabash community.  Programs and events are free for residents.  They provide a great opportunity to make new friends and be social with fellow community members.
