Roosevelt University’s Career Closet opened in Spring 2019 under the sponsorship of the Office of Student Affairs & Dean of Students. The purpose of the RU Career Closet is to provide access to free business attire and clothing to students for work, interviews, and professional networking conferences and events. The mission of the RU Career Closet is to help students enter the workforce with poise and confidence, knowing that they are making a positive and professional first impression.

The RU Career Closet is open to all Roosevelt University students. Every student is eligible to take up to four items per semester.

Please note that since the RU Career Closet is supported by donations, we cannot guarantee the availability of all sizes and types of items.

To utilize the closet, students must:

  • Schedule an appointment by contacting the HFI Task Force at
  • Provide their RU student ID card
  • Complete a receipt for items received

Hours of Operation

The RU Career Closet is open for student use by appointment Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (special accommodations as needed).
