Disability Services

Request accommodations and access ongoing support by connecting with Disability Services in the Learning Commons. Disability Services serves students and other members of the RU community with documented disabilities.

Our goal is to promote equitable opportunities for individuals with disabilities by ensuring accessibility and full participation in all aspects of campus life and by increasing awareness of disability rights on campus. The use of these services is completely voluntary and confidential. RU students in Chicago, in Schaumburg, and online can visit the Disability Services webpage to access information and request support.

Testing Accommodations

On each campus, the Learning Commons offers testing accommodations to ensure students with disabilities have an equitable opportunity to demonstrate knowledge of course material being assessed with exams and quizzes. Disability Services staff determine accommodations based on the impact of a student’s disability and current disability documentation. Exams are administered in person by staff members.

Faculty members are responsible for arranging testing accommodations for their students using the web form for the appropriate campus. Forms are available on Inside Roosevelt.
