"The first Chicago storefront production Sunday in the Park with George in over 15 years is directed and choreographed by Producing Artistic Director Derek Van Barham.

After completely selling out its original run, Kokandy Productions is pleased to announce four added weeks of performances for its critically-acclaimed revival of Stephen Sondheim’s stunning masterpiece Sunday in the Park with George, now extended through Sunday, November 29, 2026 at the intimate Chopin Downstairs Studio, 1543 W. Division St. in Chicago."

Van Barham received his MFA in Acting from the Chicago College of the Performing Arts at Roosevelt University.

"7:30PM Sat., Nov. 14: His program will move from the music of Schubert and Beethoven to a collection of works inspired by water. Following intermission, music by Amy Beach, Mel Bonis, Szymanowski, Takemitsu, Debussy, Murail, Decaux and Godowsky will explore water in its many forms, from stillness and movement to reflection and resonance. Together, the works offer a journey through different approaches to sound, color and texture at the piano.

The performance begins at 7:30PM in Wentz Concert Hall."
