"Reginald 'Reg' Weaver died Tuesday. He was president of the Illinois Education Association, the state’s largest teacher’s union, 1981 to 1987.

Weaver, who also spent 30 years as a teacher in the Harvey school system, was the first Black person to be elected president of the IEA. After his tenure at IEA, he went on to become the president of the National Education Association, from 2002 to 2008, and later went on to serve in the leadership of Education International, an organization representing 29 million teachers and education workers in 169 countries.

According to the IEA, he led the battle to ensure collective bargaining rights for Illinois educators."

Weaver received his Master's from Roosevelt University.

"The men are facing an important national team season with a lot of training matches, the European League, the Nordic Cup and of course the European Championship.

Selected players from the preliminary squad will meet for a meeting on May 14-16 in Brøndby, after which the final squad will be selected to represent Denmark in 2026."

Støvring is majoring in Mathematics at Roosevelt.

Outside of her studies and work, Julia is curious about the world, open to new experiences and people. Traveling and learning about different cultures are a natural part of her life and development, and her family roots in Bielsko-Biała are an important part of her identity."
