The Master of Arts degree in General Psychology is a fully online program, providing broad-based training in applied psychology, research, and intervention. This program is designed for current professionals employed in fields such as social work, counseling, nursing, or business and who wish to broaden their areas of expertise. Students seeking preparation for doctoral studies will also benefit from this program. Roosevelt's program can be completed in one calendar year.

Students complete coursework in psychopathology, research methods, statistics, and professional and ethical issues. Students can select from either an applied or quantitative methods concentration and select electives from a broad assortment of graduate psychology courses. Faculty will help students tailor their experiences to fit ultimate career and educational goals.

The degree requires 30 credit hours of coursework, including six core courses and four elective courses. Course selections are in consultation with an advisor. Students are expected to maintain a GPA of 3.0 to remain in good standing.
