For the first time in program history, you can earn your certificate fully online. You must take at least nine semester hours of courses with live instruction over Zoom.

Employment of paralegals and legal assistants is projected to grow 14% from 2021 to 2031, much faster than the average for all occupations. The average Illinois salary is $60,920.

The program can be completed fully online in 9 months to one year. At the Chicago Campus, you can take full-time courses during the day and finish your certificate in 9 months. Or you can take evening courses part time and finish in a little over one year. At the Schaumburg campus, you can complete the program in 9 months taking classes only on Saturdays and online. Taking a combination of in-person day-time classes and online classes, full-time students can complete the program in 6.5 months.
