About this event
Altered Bodies explores sonic disfiguration through the medium of piano and electronics and directly responds to the boom of digital concertizing during and after the COVID19 pandemic. These works are filled with reactive electronic sounds, improvisation, and surprising musical twists. I have never considered myself a soloist and with this set of works, that stays true as the electronic component provide a duet partner with whom I can explore these expansive works.
Works:
Thus I Have Heard – Qing Xu
Prelude (Rocks Sparkle Because They Break The Light) – Lucy Shirley*
Scarlet – Tori Ovel*
Disconnection, Fragmentation, Unification – Alex Lenaers*
Electric Dreamscape No. 3 – Kevin Swenson
Madonna – Matt Mason
