About Me

Baritone, Craig Springer, has performed across the country and has appeared in over 130 productions.  He has been a company member with the Lyric Opera of Chicago since 1993.  Craig has appeared in many musicals ranging from The Pirates of Penzance and Showboat to Candide, Sweeny Todd, Beauty and the Beast and Oliver.  He has had the great opportunity to work with such directors as Rob Ashford, John Caird, Peter Sellers, Barbara Gaines, Susan Stroman, Bartlett Sher and Hal Prince.

Craig has been a vocal coach and teacher for 20 years.  He has been a faculty member of the CCPA at Roosevelt University since 2007.  His Students have appeared in theaters from Los Angeles to Broadway and on prime time television including the show Rise.  Craig believes that the key to a long, healthy, happy career is through a strong technique that is based on the freedom of production and movement of the breath.
