What Can I Study?

Here are some important things to know about being an international student at Roosevelt:

  1. Roosevelt offers many undergraduate majors and minors as well as graduate degrees. International students are eligible to enroll in any on-campus Roosevelt degree program. F-1 students can take up to 3 credit hours (one subject) of online study per semester. Your program may not be entirely online.
  2. International students may not study part-time. U.S. immigration law requires all international students on F-1 student visas to maintain full-time enrollment. Undergraduate students must be registered for at least 12 credit hours to be considered full-time. Graduate students must be registered for at least 9 credit hours to be considered full-time.
  3. If you are on an F-1 visa, your academic advisor will register you for classes after you receive your visa.  You will receive an email notification after the registration is completed.  Please check your email regularly. Your advisor will review your academic credentials and assign the appropriate credit hours for graduate students and a minimum of 12 credit hours for undergraduate students.
