Intellectually curious about the past and present. Open-minded about the experiences of different cultures. Hungry for social justice and the willingness to take action. These are the characteristics of the Roosevelt University community, and embodied in the work of the St. Clair Drake Center for African & African-American Studies.
The Center’s goal is to provide transformative experiences for students, faculty and larger community through academics, research, guest lectures, and community-based programs. While focused on the history of Africans and challenges of African-Americans, the Center seeks solutions to address discrimination among all cultures.
Your support helps provide transformative experiences for students, faculty and the larger community.
