Master's in Dual Language Teacher Leadership, MA

RU Provides In-Demand Training to Boost Your Career

Implement innovative instructional and leadership strategies that support dual language education with a MA in Dual Language Teacher Leadership (DLTL). We prepare licensed teachers to teach a dynamic, highly effective form of education in which students are taught literacy and content in two languages. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible to add both the Bilingual/ESL and Teacher Leader endorsements to their Illinois teaching license.

This 30-credit hour MA program is designed to prepare licensed early childhood, elementary and secondary teachers to be Dual Language teacher leaders. Required courses are aligned with Illinois Teaching and Leadership Standards, the National Teacher Leader Model Standards and the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium Standards, meeting the Illinois State Board of Education ESL/Bilingual Endorsement requirements for the Teacher Leader Endorsement.

The ESL/Bilingual Endorsement and the Teacher Leader Endorsement can be added to a State of Illinois teaching license upon completing the program.
