About Me
My name is Dr. Tyanna Qualls. I have over 25 years of experience in revenue cycle management. This means everything from pre-registration to the collection of payment from the vendor (s) and patients. I've worked in several different specialty groups, including inpatient/outpatient hospital billing. I'm passionate about teaching healthcare administration. I currently work as a Projects Administrator for the City of Chicago Department of Public Health in downtown Chicago. In my free time, I enjoy singing, performing, dancing, spending time with friends, having private time with family, and traveling.
- Revenue Cycle Mangement
My specilaization is in revenue cycle management (RCM). Billing, coding, collections, patient registration, utilization review, you name it! I've worked in several specialized departments during my tenure including laboratory billing, auditory, internal medicine, behavioral/mental health, SNF, and orthopedic medicine. I've trained leadership and colleagues on the medical records system (EMRs) as well as the billing systems (ICD-10; HCPCS 1500/ UB04/ transportation). My collections experience includes workers' compensation in different states besides IL (AZ/FL) and auto claims processing.
