Wabash Residents

The McCormick Dining Center is located on the 2nd floor of the Wabash Building, just a quick elevator trip downstairs from your room. Enjoy a wide variety of options at every meal, or grab a snack in-between classes from the 24/7 convenience store or Franklin's Cafe in the Auditorium Building.

How it works
  • All Wabash residents are automatically assigned a Standard meal plan.
  • You can downgrade your plan to a Basic plan within the first 10 days of the semester. You can upgrade to a Standard or Deluxe plan at any time (costs for the different plans can be found on the Tuition & Fees page for the current year). Upgrades apply to the full academic year.
  • Your total bill for the semester will include half of your meal allowance for the academic year, which goes into a flex dollar account. When you use your student ID to purchase something from one of our dining establishment, that amount is deducted from your balance.
  • You can purchase additional flex dollars if you run out. Flex dollars carry over from fall semester to the spring semester, but do not carry over into summer sessions. Any Flex Dollars remaining at the end of a given academic year are forfeited and are non-refundable.
  • Meal plans are accessed using your Roosevelt Center ID Card. Meal plans are not transferable.

Students must adhere to the following policies:

  • If you lose your card, notify security and dining immediately.
  • You cannot give your card to someone else to use your plan.
  • Purchasing food for friends or family is permissible only in your presence.
  • You must have your ID card with you to access your meal plan.

Commuter Students

Commuter students can purchase meal plans for use on the Chicago campus.

  • Save 10% on every transaction at the McCormick Dining Center by using a meal plan card. Add money to the card, then use it to purchase meals or grab-and-go items whenever you like.
  • Meal plans work as a declining balance, and the balance lasts for the fall through spring academic year.
  • Meal plans can be used to buy food for friends or family, but you must be present and make the purchase yourself. Meal plans are not transferable.
How to add funds to your commuter meal plan
  • Order online with a credit card or checking account number: After you select your commuter meal plan, you will be asked to provide your phone number as part of the check out process. Dining services will call you within three business days, and you will be asked to provide your student ID number to complete activation of your plan.
  • By mail: Send a check payable to Dining Services at Roosevelt University: 425 S. Wabash Ave. Chicago, 60605. Please specify the level of the plan (the dollar amount), your name and student ID number.
  • As part of your student bill: If you'd like a meal plan charged to your student account AND you have a credit available to cover the expense, please call 312-341-3572 for assistance. Declining Balance Meal Plans are available in the amounts of $750, $500 and $250. For specific questions regarding the meal plans and how they may be used please call Dining Services at 312-341-6575.
  • By phone: Contact Dining Services directly for assistance or to enroll over the telephone at 312-341-6575.

University Center

University Center has its own dining hall.

How it works
  • Residents of suite-style rooms are automatically enrolled in the UC Basic meal plan, but can upgrade to a Standard plan. Apartment residents have their own meal plan. Costs for the different plans can be found on the Tuition & Fees page for the current year.
  • Dining packages are based on a defined number of meals per week.
  • Meals are all-you-care-to-eat (buffet-style).
  • When students purchase a meal plan, meals are loaded onto their account. Each time a student visits the dining hall, a meal will be deducted from this account. Only one meal is deducted per swipe.
  • Unused meals remaining at the end of the week do not carry over to the following week.

Meal plans are accessed using your University Center ID Card.
