The minor in Bilingual/ESL Education program prepares teacher candidates to address the learning and socio-emotional needs of English Language Learners. This focused, field-based program prepares everycandidate to work democratically with children and families that have second language backgrounds. It leads to either to the Illinois bilingual or English as a second language teaching credential.
