Elizabeth Meadows is an Associate Professor of Elementary Education in the New Deal Teacher Academy at Roosevelt University in Chicago and Schaumburg, Illinois. Her areas of teaching expertise are in the pre-student teaching and student teaching courses and in teaching freshmen. She was recently named a First-Year Faculty Fellow at RU, and she will provide support and professional development for other teachers of first-year, college courses. Her research interests include identifying ways that teachers can promote trust and social justice both within and beyond the classroom through discussion. Listening to Teach: Beyond Didactic Pedagogy edited by Leonard J. Waks, and Meadows wrote a chapter in this book.
