About Me

Mari received a Bachelors in Theatre from Illinois State University and an M.F.A. in Acting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  In Chicago she has worked with such companies as Steppenwolf, Court Theatre, and Annoyance Theatre where she originated the role of Alice in the cult hit The Real Live Brady Bunch eventually performing it in New York and Los Angeles. Residing in Los Angeles the past few decades, she wrote, directed and acted in numerous productions,  receiving an LA Weekly award for Comedy Ensemble for the hilarious Oh Sister, My Sister! written by and starring Jane Lynch (another ISU alum).  A proud member of SAG-AFTRA for 32 years, she has worked in a multitude of mediums. Her TV credits include: Shameless, Jane The Virgin, Mad Men, and Seinfeld as well as over a hundred commercials. Her Voice Over career includes being “the voice” for such clients as McDonald's, Yoplait, Blue Cross, and Public Storage; as well as Animation (Happy, Feet, Dora Smarmy of Distraction News on HBO's Crashbox), Video Games (Guild Wars, Thor, Mass Effect), Narration, Audiobooks - if it needs a voice, she's done it.

Mari is a big believer in volunteering and has worked with such organizations as Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Club, and Planned Parenthood. She served on the Hollywood SAG-AFTRA Conservatory, teaching VO classes there and around L.A.
