About Me

Alba Orizaba Correa has served the Office of Admission for over 3 years in 6 different roles. She currently serves as a transfer admission counselor and runs the Office of Admission social media pages. Some of the schools she oversees include her alma matter Harold Washington College (proud former Phi Theta Kappa member too), Malcolm X College, Truman College, readmitted students, and international students. As a Chicago Public High School and City College of Chicago graduate, Alba understand firsthand the joys, fears, challenges, and weight of commonly asked questions by students. Alba’s professional and personal history reflect her commitment to helping change lives and healing communities. She earned her MA in Student Affairs Leadership from Roosevelt University and her BA in Sociology with a minor in Latino/a and Latin American Studies from Northeastern Illinois University. Outside of Roosevelt University, you can find her enjoying music concerts or taking dancing lessons, volunteering in educational or immigrant rights campaigns, or exercising.
