Earn Endorsements in Special Education and Bilingual/ESL Education
Roosevelt will waive all fees and provide RPS teachers with a special non-degree tuition rate that can be applied to online and face-to-face courses that count toward the LBS I and Bilingual endorsements. The special non-degree tuition rate reduces the regular tuition charge by over 55%. Information about the non-degree graduate tuition rate in the College of Education can be found on the Roosevelt University tuition website.

Earn an MA
Our partnership allows RPS teachers to apply their LBS1 and Bilingual/ESL endorsement courses toward a Master of Arts degree in the following areas, substantially reducing the already low costs of these online and blended graduate degree programs.
Teaching and Learning
The Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning (TLRN) prepares licensed teachers to become more effective and democratic classroom instructors and leaders. Upon completion of the online program, candidates will be eligible to add an endorsement to their Illinois teaching license and they will have a deeper understanding of the expectations embedded in the Danielson Framework for Teaching and other teacher evaluation frameworks.
Second Language Special Education
The Master of Arts in Second Language Special Education (SLSE) prepares licensed teachers to effectively instruct English Language Learners and students with special needs. Upon completion of the online and blended program, candidates will be eligible to add both the Bilingual/ESL and LBS1 endorsements to their Illinois teaching licenses.
The Master of Arts in Reading (READ) prepares licensed teachers to become effective and democratic leaders in language and literacy learning. Upon completion of the online and face-to-face program in Schaumburg, candidates will be eligible to add either the reading specialist, reading teacher, or bilingual/ESL endorsement to their Illinois teaching licenses.
Become a Dual Language Leader
Our partnership also allows RPS teachers to enroll in our Dual Language Teacher Leadership Program.
The MA degree in Dual Language Teacher Leadership (DLTL) prepares teachers to teach, and lead, in dual language programs and schools. Offered online and in a unique summer residency format, the program leads to the bilingual/ESL and teacher leader endorsements. The tuition for this program is priced at just over 50% off of the standard graduate tuition rate in the College of Education.
