About Me

Dr. Plotner is an assistant teaching professor at Roosevelt University in Chicago where she teaches in the MPA program. Her current research is focused on the underlying causes of burnout among nonprofit employees. She has published research on millennials in the nonprofit workforce, nonprofit performance measurement, and nonpartisan voter engagement by community-based nonprofits. She has a PhD in Public Administration from UIC, a masters in Nonprofit Management from DePaul University and a BA from Barnard College. Prior to her doctoral studies, Dr. Plotner worked in fundraising and nonprofit operations consulting.
