Dempsey Travis

Dempsey Travis Scholarship

The Travis Scholars is an enrichment program generously funded by the Mittie, Moselynne and Dempsey J. Travis Foundation — in honor of its namesake and Roosevelt alumnus. This program provides financial assistance to students in need, while recognizing their academic achievement, commitment to social justice and Chicago residency.

Scholars participate in a series of guided discussions — exploring themes presented in Dempsey Travis’ writings.
