PsyD Student Success

From Lynn Weiner, Dean, College of Arts and Sciences:

I am happy to announce a 100% placement rate for our 15 doctoral internship applicants - and the national rate is only 71%. Our students have won internships at sites ranging from Children's Hospital in Kansas City and the VA Center in White River Junction, Vermont, to Advocate Family Care in Oak Lawn and the Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Additionally, PsyD student Maggie Swanson (whose internship will be with the Miami VA) took the first place ribbon for her poster on personality scales at the national meeting of the Society for Personality Assessment earlier this month.

Kudos to Professors Cami McBrideCatherine Campbell, Jim Choca, and the rest of the psychology faculty who have done such a stellar job building our doctoral program.
