Applying for and securing financial assistance can be a complicated process - we are here to assist. Our Office of Financial Aid staff is ready to answer your questions and to guide you through the steps required to be considered for financial aid at Roosevelt University. Let's get started.

1. Apply to and be Admitted to Roosevelt University

Complete the online application and submit all required documentation for admission. Once all materials are received you will be provided with an admission decision.

2. Gather the Documentation Required for the FAFSA®

A full list of required documents can be found by visiting Required documentation will include:

  • Social Security Number
  • Federal Student Aid ID
  • Tax Documents
  • Bank and Investment Statements
3. Complete the FAFSA®

Visit to file the Free Application for Federal Student.

  • Students beginning their studies in Fall 2017 should file the FAFSA® as soon as possible, beginning October 1, 2016.
  • Enter Roosevelt’s six-digit Federal School Code (001749) to select the University as a recipient of your FAFSA® information.
  • We encourage all students to utilize the data retrieval process within the online application.
4. Review the Results of Your FAFSA®
Once your FAFSA® has been processed, you should review the results. Any needed corrections can be made online. Your Expected Family Contribution (EFC), will be included within these results. This amount is determined by the federal government and is an indication of your family's ability to pay for a college education.
5. Explore your Roosevelt University Financial Aid Package

A student's financial aid package consists of a combination of federal, state, and Roosevelt University aid. This aid will include any available scholarships, grants, student employment opportunities, and loans that you may be eligible to receive.

All admitted students will receive a mailed copy of their aid package. This information will also be available in RUAccess. (link to RUAccess).
