Meet Fala the Laker
Fala the Laker is the official mascot of Roosevelt University. Introduced to Roosevelt in 2016, Fala is the beloved Scottish Terrier of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt. He brings spirit and energy to athletic events and University functions.

With 16 varsity athletic teams, spanning nine men's and women's sports, Roosevelt University has many reasons to cheer for its Lakers. Our athletic teams compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and include baseball, basketball, cross-country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. We also take pride in the club sport, intramural and recreational activities we offer to our students, faculty and staff. Whether you prefer a group fitness class or hitting the gym solo, Roosevelt has an outlet for you.

Our state-of-the-art athletic and wellness facilities include: the Lillian and Larry Goodman Center, the Barry Crown Fitness Center, and the Schaumburg Fitness Center.
