Esteban Batallan

The Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University is proud to announce the appointment of Esteban Batallán, Principal Trumpet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, to the artist faculty of the CCPA Music Conservatory.

Batallán began his musical studies in his hometown of Barro (Pontevedra, Spain). He was Principal Trumpet of the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada (2002–18), before joining the CSO as Principal Trumpet in 2019. He has also held appointments in the Hong Kong Philharmonic (Principal Trumpet 2018–19) and in Milan at Teatro Alla Scala and Filarmonica della Scala (guest Principal Trumpet, 2015–18).
