Roosevelt business student wins Financial Executives International scholarship

A Roosevelt University business student has received a prestigious scholarship from the Financial Executives International (FEI) in Chicago.

Roshni Patel, 20, of Des Plaines is a junior finance major at Roosevelt’s Heller College of Business. She received the FEI Scholarship in February, and will apply the award toward her studies at Roosevelt. 

“I am very honored to receive this prestigious scholarship. It will help me with my college expenses and will allow me to focus on my studies,” said Patel, who will graduate in 2019.

As an FEI scholar, Patel will have an opportunity to network with finance professionals throughout the Chicago area. “This scholarship will help me achieve my goal of becoming an expert in asset management,” said Patel.

One of Heller College’s most accomplished students, Patel is also a Clearing Corporation Charitable Foundation (CCCF) Fellow at Roosevelt. She recently completed internships with the Treasury Management Association of Chicago a with Roosevelt’s Finance and Administration Office. She also recently secured a third internship that begins in June at Northern Trust in Chicago.

“Roshni is one of our true success stories,” said Asghar Sabbaghi, dean of the Heller College at Roosevelt University. “She is a highly motivated student who has been able to put into practice in the real world what she has been learning in the classroom, which is one of our major goals at Heller College,” said Sabbaghi.
