Roosevelt University’s Department of Mathematics, Actuarial Science and Economics and the Math Club are sponsoring the 9th Annual Math x-Position at the Chicago Campus on Friday, November 30 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Wabash Building, room 418. The event celebrates the achievements of our mathematics students.

The event kicks off with a student poster session at 9:15 a.m., followed by student presentations at 10:20 a.m. and a career panel at 11:15 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon, followed by a plenary talk given by Dr. Tim Comar, professor of mathematics at Benedictine University. Dr. Comar will discuss “Mathematical Biology: Vaccination and Pest Control Strategies.”

The Math x-Position is free and open to all students, faculty, staff and alumni, but an RSVP is requested by November 27 for lunch:‚Äč. For more information, contact Professor Steve Cohen.
