The scholarship was established in 1999 by a generous gift from the Mansfield Family Foundation in honor of Anne and Albert Mansfield. The scholarship will help students interested in social justice work to enroll in a social justice-related course for the summer semester. The scholarship will cover tuition for a three-credit social justice-related course in any discipline. The Mansfield Scholarship is open to all current undergraduate and graduate students across the university.
Eligibility: A social justice-related course (any discipline) taken over the summer semester.
The recipient will work up to five hours a week with the Mansfield Institute, engaging in Institute social justice projects with the goal of putting learning into practice through engagement, action and mentoring.
The Institute will award two scholarships per year that may be used in the Summer semesters.
This scholarship is open to undergrad and graduate students and must be applied for on-line.
Deadline is: April 15th. Recipient notified April 22nd.
