The HSAD major consists of 7 requires courses (21 credit hours), 3 required major elective courses (9 credit hours) and 1 capstone/experiential learning course ( 3 credit hours).  The menu of electives are subject to change.  Please see your advisor to determine offerings.  You may participate in a HSAD capstone course or internship even if you transfer in your experiential learning requirement. HSAD coursework can begin in either the fall or Spring Semester.

The AAS in Gerontology Specialist contains 54 credit hours, therefore, 66 credit hours are needed to complete a BA (total 120 credit hours).
