Academic Advising and Registration

At Roosevelt University, academic advising is an active partnership between you and your advisor, with the goal to develop, clarify, and evaluate your educational plan and to align it with your goals. It is this education plan that will guide your course selection and registration each semester. Fall registration opens March 1 and spring registration opens November 1.

Advising and registration for new freshman and transfer students will be completed through individualized appointments. These appointments are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and require that the $200 admission deposit be submitted.

Important Note: Academic Advising should be completed prior to attending New Student Orientation. To schedule your appointment contact the Office of Academic Advising by email at advising@roosevelt.edu or by phone a 312-341-4340.

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is designed to make your transition to Roosevelt a positive experience. Become more closely acquainted with campus and explore the tools and resources available to you as a student. Most importantly, meet your classmates and future professors. A limited number of new freshmen will have the opportunity to stay overnight in RU's Wabash residence halls.

New Student Orientation is required for all new freshmen and transfer students. A mandatory orientation fee is automatically billed to all new students' first semester bill.
