The Spanish for Healthcare Professionals certificate is an online program dedicated to helping professionals with intermediate or minimal Spanish-speaking skills gain a strong foundation in Spanish for the medical industry. Whether a student or a professional already working in the medical field, you’ll gain the language skills to have comprehensive conversations with patients about medical care, symptoms, insurance, and other vital issues relevant to the health fields. The program also emphasizes reading and writing in Spanish and introduces students to sociocultural issues specific to Latinx communities.

This graduate certificate requires 12 semester hours (4 courses). Its online format makes it accessible to students and working professionals in geographically diverse regions.
