Dr. Joey Rea, currently in the process of applying for licensure as a clinical psychologist, completed his doctorate in clinical psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he earned his B.S. in psychology. He completed his predoctoral internship at the University of Illinois Counseling Center and his postdoctoral fellowship at The University of Chicago Student Counseling Service. Dr. Rea practices from a contemporary psychodynamic lens and incorporates mindfulness and Dialectical Behavior Therapy into his work with students as needed. His clinical interests include working with LGBTQ+ identified students, Spanish-speaking students, trauma survivors, OCD, and disordered eating.
