About Me

Sarah Taylor is an actor, teacher, director, choreographer and yoga instructor. As an actor, Sarah has performed at Shakespeare & Company, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, The Other Theatre Company, Back Room Shakespeare Project and many other regional theatres. As a teacher she has worked with education programs at Shakespeare & Company, Chicago Youth Shakespeare, Merrimack Repertory Theatre’s Young Artists at Play, The Orlando Shakespeare Festival, Once Upon a Time and the Play Ground Children’s Theatre. Her teaching focuses include Acting, Shakespeare, Movement and Voice. Her directing experience includes the Fall Festival of Shakespeare, Shakespeare & Young Company, Shakespeare in the Courts with Shakespeare & Company’s Education Program as well as original one-woman productions at Ventfort Hall in Lenox, MA.  She has choreographed for productions in Shakespeare & Company’s summer season and at Gordon College. 

Sarah is also a Register Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. She is a graduate of the 200-hour Teacher Training at Kripalu and has been a regular practitioner of yoga since 2006. She has additional certification in Prenatal Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. Sarah draws on many traditions in her yoga teaching including Kripalu, Hatha, Vinyasa, Iyengar, Kundalini, Yin as well as various meditation and pranayama practices. 

Sarah is a proud member of the Actors’ Equity Association. Sarah holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Central Florida and an MFA in Acting from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University.
