The Chicago Transit Authority U-Pass is your ticket to UNLIMITED riding aboard CTA buses and trains. Use your U-Pass on CTA bus/rail system anytime, anywhere, for any reason. It's your connection to shopping, sports events, social activities, art and entertainment centers, and all the things Chicago has to offer.

With the U-Pass, Roosevelt students may use their pass beginning five days before the first day of classes for fall and spring semesters until five days after the last day of finals. The 2008-2009 cost for the U-Pass is $85 per semester and will be automatically billed to your student account. Participation in the program is mandatory for full-time (12 credit hours for undergraduates, nine credit hours for graduate students and six credit hours for doctoral students), degree-seeking Chicago Campus students. Part-time students are not eligible for the U-Pass program and may not receive or purchase a U-Pass.

Fall 2008 Distribution Dates

• Wednesday, 8/27 - 3:00pm-6:00pm
• Thursday, 8/28 - 3:00pm-6:00pm
• Friday, 8/29 – 12:00pm-3:00pm
• Tuesday, 9/2 - 2:00pm-6:00pm
• Wednesday, 9/3 - 10:00am-2:00pm
• Thursday, 9/4 - 3:00pm-6:00pm

After Thursday, September 4, you can pick up your pass in AUD 124, Mon-Thurs 9:00 am-6:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm.

If you do not pick up your pass between August 27 and September 4, you may have to wait up to 10 business days to receive your pass.

Important Facts:

• U-Pass offers full-time, degree-seeking, Roosevelt University Chicago Campus students unlimited rides on any CTA bus or train during the fall and spring semesters.
• U-Pass replaces cash for all CTA fares - no cash is needed.
• U-Pass does not require a transfer or surcharge.
• U-Pass is NOT valid for travel on PACE suburban buses or Metra commuter trains.
• U-Pass is for full-time students only. The cards of students who change to part-time status will be deactivated.
• U-Pass is also valid for CTA Paratransit Special Services (for those qualified through the RTA) until the printed expiration date.
• U-Pass is not offered in the summer.
