Traveling to Schaumburg By Auto
Traveling Between Campuses

The Robin campus is at 1400 N. Roosevelt Boulevard in Schaumburg. It can be reached by traveling along Golf Road in Schaumburg or from Illinois Highway 53 or from Interstate 290 or from Interstate 90. It is near the intersection of Interstates 90 and 290. It is directly across the street from IKEA.  Ample parking is available in the university's lots. You should check IDOT Expressway Congestion Map to get information on travel times at the moment.

Directions

From westbound Golf Road proceed underneath the Illinois 53/Interstate 290 expressway and take the immediate right at the first traffic light onto northbound McConnor Parkway. Follow this as it swings around to head west to the first traffic light. The main entrance to the Roosevelt parking lots is just a couple hundred feet along McConnor past the light. Turn left into the lot.

From eastbound Golf Road proceed past the intersection of Meacham Road to the next traffic light. Turn left onto northbound Roosevelt Boulevard (the right turn would be Woodfield Mall). Proceed past the local mall and the Roosevelt building to the light.  Turn left and then turn left again at the main entrance.

From northbound Interstate 290 take the exit marked Higgins Road and Golf Road. Proceed north (and keep right) along the frontage road past the traffic lights at Higgins Road and at Woodfield Road to the traffic light where the road dead-ends at Golf Road. Turn left and follow the instructions for westbound Golf Road above.

From southbound Illinois 53 there are two options, each of which requires a shift into the local lanes on the right followed by several turns:

a) Algonquin Road

Exit at Algonquin Road and turn right at the traffic light at the head of the ramp. Proceed west to the traffic light at Meacham Road (the upper left corner of the map). Turn left and proceed south on Meacham over Interstate 90 to the traffic light at McConnor Parkway. Turn left and proceed east; turn in to the right at the signs for Roosevelt University.

b) Golf Road

exit for Golf (and Woodfield) Road(s) and proceed south along the frontage road to the first traffic light. Turn left (be patient) onto Woodfield Road, proceed a couple hundred feet under the expressway to another light and turn left onto the northbound frontage road. Stay local (keep right) and proceed to the traffic light at Golf Road. Turn left and follow the instructions for westbound Golf Road above.

From eastbound Interstate 90 (Northwest Tollway) exit for southbound Interstate 290 and then immediately take the exit for Golf (and Woodfield) Road(s). Continue as in the preceding paragraph.

From westbound Interstate 90 (the Kennedy Expressway from downtown Chicago leads directly (along its left lanes) into the Northwest Tollway (avoid the airport exit). Again there are two options, each of which requires a shift into the local lanes on the right followed by several turns:

a) Algonquin Road

Take the first ramp onto northbound Illinois 53 (Rolling Meadows) and proceed a short distance on the right to the exit at Algonquin Road. Circle around the ramp and turn right (westbound) at the traffic light at the head of the ramp. Follow the rest of the instructions as in (a) above.

b) Golf Road

Take the second ramp onto southbound Interstate 290 (Schaumburg) and keep right. The second (of two very close exits) ramp leads to Golf (and Woodfield) Road(s) and follow the instructions in (b) above.
