Student Services Get Involved Academics at Roosevelt are just one part of your university experience.Whether you’re meeting with classmates to study, enjoying a cup of coffee with a friend or participating in student groups, it’s easy to find your place in the RU community. At the Chicago Campus, the Herman Crown Center provides living options for 300 students and features a dining center for both resident and commuter students. At the Schaumburg Campus, you can meet with other students in the bookstore, the coffee shop, or one of the lounges. At both campuses, you’re invited to become active in student organizations such as The Torch (student newspaper), student government, intramural sports teams, and career-oriented clubs. Getting involved is a great way to enrich your university experience. When you need a study break, a world of diversions awaits just outside your door. Experience Chicago’s night life. Window shop along Michigan Avenue or find that perfect gift in Schaumburg’s Woodfield Mall. Take a walk in Grant Park (just across the street from the Chicago Campus), or enjoy an excellent meal at one of the many fine restaurants in Schaumburg’s corporate district. Make an easy transition Roosevelt University’s Office of Student Activities offers incoming undergraduates an orientation program that almost guarantees a smooth transition into Roosevelt. New students can choose between day-long and overnight orientations. Either way, you’ll learn how Roosevelt works, you’ll get to know all the activities that make up student life, and, most importantly, you’ll meet your mentor. Together with a small group of other new students, you’ll be brought together with a professor or a staff member who will be your guide, advocate and friend. |
