Date: 11/9/2009
Time: 9:00:00 AM
Location: Schaumburg Campus
It's that time of year again to give back to the community and participate in our Thanksgiving Food Drive by donating select foods to Humanitarian Service Project. This will be a great opportunity for you to get involved and help us out collect foods from November 9th-20th.

We will be turning this into a competition between the majority of the student organizations and for those who do not affiliate with an organization are more than welcome to donate. There will be labeled bins in the rotunda where boxed and canned food or toiletries can be dropped off.

So come out and help Honors Scholars, SPEED, and CCL make a difference in many hungry families' lives across the Northwest suburban area!

Donations including food items and tolietries will be collected in the Rotunda each day from 9-6pm until November 16th for student orgs participating in the competition. However, you can continue to donate through the 20th.

Donations will also be accepted in the Center for Campus

The documentary To Do No Harm—which takes a real life look at the Needle Exchange Program—will be shown and a discussion will follow. The Executive Director of the Chicago Recovery Alliance and Zoe Lehman of the Chicago Women's AIDS Project will be our guest speakers. There will also be an opportunity for students and faculty to get tested for HIV. Come to get educated, voice your concerns, and take a stand on this controversial issue!
