Summer Housing

The Office of Residence Life welcomes Roosevelt and non-Roosevelt students and conferences in the HCC during summer months. Please note that a minimum of one-month stay is required for residents and services may be limited. Maintenance on some level will take place on all floors, however, every effort will be made to minimize any inconvenience this may cause students.

Students can enjoy all that their new backyard has to offer! From The Taste of Chicago, Blues’ Fest, Gospel Fest, and Venetian Night, to art galleries, field museums, and planetariums, Chicago can spice up your summer with flare and loads of fun! Come join us downtown and experience a new taste of the city!!

2007 Summer Rates (Housing is available from May 24 - August 16)

• Double Room (per person): $300 per week; $45 per day
• Single Room: $400 per week; $60 per day
• Basic Meal Plan: $45 per week
• Linen Rental (optional): $50 Rates

Complete room and board payment for non-Roosevelt students will need to be made prior to or at check-in. Payment can be sent to the Office of Student Accounts or the Office of Residence Life.

Conferences

Each year Residence Life welcomes into their community various conferences from all over the world. We work diligently with groups to accommodate their needs from the basic housing provided and special dietary needs to the major ongoing activities in our backyard, Chicago!

General Information

• Linen rental is available
• Single rooms are available on a limited basis
• There is no minimum stay for groups of 20 or more. One chaperone per ten students is required for groups under the age of eighteen.
• A minimum meal plan and security deposit is required
• Contact the Director of Residence Life for a weekly breakdown of rates
• Half of the payment is due to secure the reservation, with the remainder due upon check-in.

To ensure accommodations can be met for all groups, we request summer reservations are made by March 1st. We will still accept reservations after this date, however, because of the limited number of spaces available, we may not be able to accommodate all requests.
