Meet Our Staff & Contact Us Resident Assistants Resident Assistants (RAs) are full time students whose jobs are to assist you, other residents and the Office of Residence Life. They are available to answer questions about the University or help you with personal, academic, or other problems that typically confront students. They may do so by referring you to the appropriate person for consultation or just by being good listeners. Resident Assistant Coordinator(s) The RAC(s) is responsible for providing leadership and direction to a comprehensive student development program and for the administrative operations of a residence hall which houses 300 students. In addition, the RAC serves in a central office position to foster the development of residential service and programs to meet the needs of residents. Residents can schedule an appointment with the Resident Assistant Coordinator by calling extension 2005. Director of Residence Life & First Year Programs The Director of Residence Life & First Year Programs is a full time professional staff member who is part of the Student Services Division and reports to the Assistant Vice President for Student Services. On the community level, the Director of Residence Life works with the RA staff and student leaders to develop a satisfying environment in the Hall. On an individual basis, the Director of Residence Life is available to help you with personal or academic concerns, as well as questions about Roosevelt and the Residence Life Program.
