Cards

Student’s Roosevelt University ID card is used as their Dining Center meal card. Upon checking into their rooms, students will choose a meal plan.

**Meal Plans

Meal plans for the 2005-2006 academic year:

Students will be able to add to their meal plans at anytime. The meal allowances come in all-you-care-to-eat meals for breakfast, lunch or dinner. A meal will be deducted from the student’s card each time it is used. Meal allowances not used for the week will not roll over to the next week.

Flex dollars work on a debit system, deducting an amount per item purchased. These dollars can also be used for any meal. Students will be able to add money to their flex dollars.

  • The Basic $2,191 Meal Plan
Meal Allowance: 12 meals per week, per semester
    Flex Dollars: $100 per semester
  • The Bonus $2,455 Meal Plan
Meal Allowance: 15 meals per week, per semester
    Flex Dollars: $75 per semester
  • The Gourmet $2,503 Meal Plan
Meal Allowance: 19 meals per week, per semester
    Flex Dollars: $50 per semester

**Meal plans for the 2005-2006 academic year are subject to change.

Specific Dietary Needs & Recipe Requests

The staff can accommodate virtually every dietary need that arises and welcomes any recipe requests. They work extremely hard to ensure students receive the highest quality in customer service and nutrition. Please contact any member if you have a specific request or would like a little more information on the nutrients and/or ingredients used in a meal.

Add-On Money

Students may add flex money to their card during service hours by stopping by the Office of Residence Life at the Herman Crown Center or the Dining Center at the University Center desk to retrieve the proper form.

Roll Over

Meal allowances will not roll over from one week to the next. Any allowance not used for the week will be lost and students will not be reimbursed.

How Your Meal Card Works

Each resident student must select one of the three meal plan options available when completing their residence hall contract. When you check in to the residence hall and after you receive clearance from your student accounts representative you will bring your contract and student ID to the Dining Center Office. Your meal points will be encoded on the card by a Dining Center manager. At this time the student will be able to make purchases with the card at any time the Dining Center is open.

Special Dining Center Events

Each week we hold a variety of special events in the Dining Center for our guests. Here are a few examples for you:

  • Weekend Brunches
  • Sunday Steak Dinners
  • All You Can Eat Specials
  • Ice Cream Socials
  • Live Music and Entertainment
  • International Food Menu Days
  • Holiday Specials
  • Pizza Parties
