Things To Note.....

$500 Pre-payment

A $500 pre-payment is required for students (not conferences) staying in ROW. The pre-payment is credited back to the student once the contract term has ended if no damages are assessed. The pre-payment is forfeited if the student leaves before the contract has ended.

NOTE: Non-RU students living in UC or ROW will be required to pay the full amount for room and meals (if applicable) at the time of check-in.

University Center (UC)

UC offers the following:

  • Location downtown on State St, across from Harold Washington Library

  • Suite and apartment style rooms

  • Board (meal) plans are required in suite options

  • Air conditioning

  • Basic linen packages are available

  • Free wireless Internet in rooms & building

  • Laundry facility, dining room, vending machines, fitness center, game and entertainment room, outside terrace (please note university services and hours are limited during the summer)

  • Apply and obtain room and board rates directly at the University Center at (312) 924-8089 or log onto www.chicagosummerhousing.com

  • Summer session from May 24 through August 16

  • No minimum stay required

  • No minimum group size required

How to Apply

Conferences and individual students (RU and non-RU) wanting to live in UC for summer only will need to apply directly with the UC.

Roosevelt on Washington (ROW)

ROW offers the following:

  • Location downtown 1/2 block from Michigan Ave, across from the Cultural Center

  • Apartments with shared and private bedrooms

  • Air conditioning

  • Free wireless Internet in rooms & building

  • Laundry facility on each floor, fitness center, vending machines

  • Summer session from May 24 through August 16

  • No minimum stay required for conferences

  • Minimum stay for students is May 24-August 16

  • Housing in ROW is offered to groups of eight participants or more

  • Housing rates per person: Private bedroom = $5800; Shared bedroom = $4800; Small shared bedroom = $4700

  • Housing rates for conferences: $45 per person, per night for a shared room and $55 per person, per night for a private bedroom

How to Apply

  • Conferences wanting to live in ROW should contact Angela Ryan, aryan@roosevelt.edu for more information

  • Individual non-RU students will need to contact the Office of Residence Life at (312) 341-2005 to be sent a housing contract. A $500 pre-payment is required with contract.

  • RU students will need to complete the online housing contract. A $500 pre-payment is required with contract.
