Co-educational & Married/Domestic Partner Housing

Residence Life

The Office of Residence Life at Roosevelt University offers co-educational and married/domestic partner housing in Roosevelt on Washington in Fornelli Hall. Students interested in either option can indicate this preference on their housing application/contract when applying online.

Co-ed Student Housing

Students of the same and opposite gender will be able to reside together in apartments on designated floors. Co-ed housing is defined as male and females residing in a single apartment, but any shared bedrooms within the unit are to be occupied by individuals of the same gender.

Eligibility for Co-ed Housing

Students who are Juniors, Seniors, Graduate or Doctoral students may choose this option.  Students must identify their own roommates and all roommates must individually identify on their housing application/contract who will be sharing their apartment.

Married/Domestic Partner Student Housing

Studio apartments are designed to accommodate one person; however, certain studios have been designated to accommodate married/domestic partner students currently enrolled at Roosevelt University. There is an additional charge for a spouse/partner that is added to the studio apartment rate.  Contact the Office of Residence Life for more information on rates.

Eligibility for Married/Domestic Partner Housing

If you are married or in a domestic partnership, you must provide one of the following forms of documentation before housing can be finalized:

    • Married residents must provide a copy of a certified marriage certificate.
    • Domestic partner residents must complete the Affidavit of Domestic Partnership and provide the corresponding  documentation.
