Beginning in the Fall 2008 semester, Roosevelt University converted to a plus/minus grading system. The new grade values will be used in the calculation of the GPA, and academic standing. The new grading system is not retro-active for grades earned prior to Fall 2008.
In addition, developmental grades (grades proceeded by an asterisk *) have been implemented. Developmental grades are issued for courses below the 100 level (for example ENG 099 or MATH 099). They are excluded from earned hours, but will be included in Attempted, Passed, and GPA hour calculations.
Quality Point Values Assigned to Grades
As decided by the University Senate, a grade at the undergraduate level and a grade at the graduate level are acceptable for program requirements unless otherwise specified by the college and/or department.
The minimum grade point average required for graduation at the undergraduate level is 2.0 and 3.0 at the graduate level.
