  New: Important Dates for Each Semester

Students who are adequately prepared may register for advanced art courses offered at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Registration must be completed at Roosevelt University. For information please call (312) 341-3710.

Getting RU credit for courses at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC)

Students can take any regularly scheduled art class at the SAIC aside from their first year sequence. Some specialized classes require permission of Susan Weininger, Department Chair for History, Art History, and Philosophy at Roosevelt University, who is the coordinator of this program: (312) 341-3711 Email: sweining@roosevelt.edu

Schedule of classes at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago is available at: http://www.artic.edu/saic/new/schedules/index.html.  Selection of 3 desirable courses is required before the meeting with the program coordinator.

After selecting courses from SAIC Online Schedule the students need to meet with Susan Weininger, complete the Individual Section Registration Form, and obtain the appropriate signatures. The completed form needs to be submitted to the Registrar's Office at Roosevelt University. Online Registration for SAIC courses is not available.

Students will not know right away if they can get into a course because SAIC lets their own students in first. This is why Roosevelt requires that students bring 3 options with them when meeting with Susan Weininger.

Grades will be delivered by SAIS to the program coordinator, who then will post them to the student's Roosevelt University record.
