* Important Dates for Each Semester *
- If you are a new freshman or transfer student, complete the Roosevelt University Assessment (RUA) to confirm your placement in English and math courses. It is used to assure that students are prepared to be academically successful at Roosevelt University.
- If you are a freshman with ACT or SAT scores received within the last two years and have completed no English or math courses since the test was taken your placement in English and math will be determined by these scores. If you do not have these scores, you will take both parts of the RUA before registering for classes.
- Transfer students are required to take the English portion of the RUA but may not have to take the math portion if they have transferable math appropriate for their degree. Contact the Academic Advising Office at advising@roosevelt.edu to see if this requirement can be waived.
- If the RUA is required, visit www.roosevelt.edu/RUA to see the schedule of available times, register for the RUA, and take the sample test. If you have questions, contact the Academic Advising Office in Chicago at (312) 341-4340 or Schaumburg at (847) 619-7930.
- If you are a current Roosevelt student in a degree or certificate program, meet with an academic advisor prior to registering for your classes. Academic advisors are available at both campuses, either through the Office of Academic Advising or your major department. Advisors will be available during the official advising period for each semester. Early advising will help ensure your enrollment in the courses you need at the times you want. If you are in good standing, after obtaining your registration code, or advisor’s signature, you can register online. Click here to view Advisor Finder for the College of Arts and Sciences. For information regarding your advisor in CPA, ED, CPS, BN please call your College.
- If you are a continuing undergraduate student who has 60 or fewer semester hours of academic
credit, and are undecided about your major; or are on academic probation, you must meet with an Academic Advisor in the Academic Advising Office.
- If you are a graduate student, you will be advised by faculty in your College/program.
