How to Register Online via RU Access/Step-by-Step Instructions

All new or continuing degree seeking students in good standing are required to register online/RUACCESS.  Students at-Large do not need to meet with an advisor.  They may not register via RU Access.

First, meet with your academic advisor to determine what courses are appropriate for your program/degree, and to obtain your Registration Code.  Changing the schedule also requires your advisor’s approval.

Graduate students in the College of Business Administration may use their 6-digit birth date as a Registration Code.

Go to www.roosevelt.edu/ruaccess.

Enter USER ID, which is your Roosevelt ID number (either a social security number or a Roosevelt University assigned 9-digit number.)

Create your PIN using initially your birth date in MMDDYY format.   If your birth date does not work it means that RU does not have it on the data base.  In this situation use the last six digits of your Roosevelt University ID number. It starts with 9.

If you attempt to login with an incorrect user ID or PIN 5 times, your access will be disabled. You will need to reset it by clicking the "Forgot PIN?" button the on login page, and then follow the steps on the screen. You may also call the Registrar's Office at either campus to get it reset: (312) 341-3535 or (847) 619-7950.

Click Login.

You will see note "Your PIN has expired. Change it now". The system will require you to change your initial PIN (birth date in MMDDYY format, or last six digits of your Roosevelt University ID number) to a unique six-character PIN.  You can use any combination of letters and numbers.

If you forget your PIN, enter your user ID and click Forgot PIN? button. Answer your Security Question, and select a new PIN. You may also call or come to the Office of the Registrar at either campus to have it reset.
