As a retired or semi-retired life long learner 50 years or older, you may enjoy a stress-free learning environment in Roosevelt University’s Institute for Continued Learning. Participate in a variety of non-credit study groups with no exams or grades, but with plenty of camaraderie and knowledge–sharing. Active members of the Institute for Continued Learning may also take courses at Roosevelt University:
- The representative of ICL will obtain the instructor’s permission for the ICL member to join the class, assuming space availability.
- The ICL member taking the class at Roosevelt University will not receive a grade, credit, or transcript for the course.
- The Registrar’s Office will not keep any academic record on file.
- ICL members planning to take advantage of this benefit should complete an Application for Access to Blackboard. This form is available at the ICL Office in Room 130 in Schaumburg.
- The completed application should be submitted to the Registrar’s Office in Schaumburg, Room 120.
ICL Member ID Cards:
- All ICL members in good standing are entitled to a Roosevelt University photo ID card.
- The Registrar’s Office is required to check if the person requesting an ID card is on the current ICL Member’s List.
- Members who are not included on the list are directed to Room 130.
- Stickers validating IDs for the current semester are issued by the ICL Office in Room 130, not the Registrar’s Office.
