Intensive Courses
In general, the last day to register online for an intensive course is the day and starting time of the mandatory pre-session. Please check the Online Coursefinder for pre-session date and time. For example: the pre-session for the class meets on Wednesday, 05/27/08 at 5:30 PM. The last chance to register online will be Wednesday, 05/28/08 before 9:30 AM. After 9:30 AM the online registration will be closed and students will be able to register in person or by fax.
Other Summer Courses
The last day to register online for courses which do not require a mandatory pre-session is the last day of the first week. However, it must be prior to the the first meeting of the class and time. For example: the first class meeting is on Wednesday, 05/28/08 at 9:30 AM. The last chance to register online will be Wednesday, 05/28/08 before 9:30 AM. After 9:30 AM the online registration will be closed and students will be able to register in person or by fax.
After the class has met, the student needs to obtain instructor's written permission to register. The following are acceptable: signed note, signature on the Course Selection Worksheet or Add/Drop form, or email. Then, the permission to register and the Course Selection Worksheet or Add/Drop Form signed by an advisor, are to be submitted to the Registrar's Office.
Dropping the Course via RU Access/Online
Students may drop a course via RU Access during the period when there is still the eligibility for a 100% tuition refund.
Please note: the General Fee of $125 for undergraduate students, $150 for graduate students, and $25 Student Activity Fee are not refundable. When the class is dropped by the deadline, no grade will be posted to student's record.
After the deadline for a 100% has passed, dropping the course is available only in person, by mail, or by fax. Students having financial aid, including student loans, must obtain a financial aid officer's signature on their Add/Drop form before submitting it to the Registrar's Office.
