Transferring to the Master of Science in Real Estate Program
School of Real Estate | Walter E. Heller College of Business Administration

Effective immediately, any WEHCBA graduate business student (MBA, MSHRM, MSIS, MSIB, or MSA) may transfer to the Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) degree program. In order to do so, you must complete the following:

1) Complete the Declaration/Change of Graduate Program form

2) Return to either Donald Swanton, Director, Department of Finance and Real Estate

Once the Declaration/Change of Graduate Program form has been completed and returned, it will take approximately two weeks before your program change will be reflected in RU Access.

Acct 405, Mgmt 403, and Fin 408 (or their substitutions if you were advanced-placed due to an undergraduate major in those areas) as well as BADM 401 are all transferable since they are required core courses in the MSRE. In addition, all REES courses will be transferable to the MSRE. Any other courses will not be applied to the MSRE course requirements for graduation.

MSRE accreditation by ACBSP is pending subject to a standard two-year application period.

For questions or concerns regarding registration or class scheduling in the MSRE program please contact Donald Swanton at dswanton@roosevelt.edu or 312-281-3278 or 847-619-4857 (at Schaumburg)

For other questions regarding the program you may contact Jon DeVries, Director, Institute of Real Estate at jdevries@roosevelt.edu or 312-281-3358 or Kristin Nance, Assistant Director, Institute of Real Estate, at knance@roosevelt.edu or 312-281-3326.
