The Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative Walter E. Heller College of Business Administration CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2009 SCHOLARSHIP GRADUATES!
Program Context
Women are significantly underrepresented in the real estate development industry, particularly in positions that reflect levels of leadership. CREW, the national association of commercial real estate women, conducted a national survey in 2005 described as the commercial real estate industry’s first comprehensive look at the women in the industry. On September 30, 2005, their summary news release of that survey reported that women comprise 36 percent of professionals in the commercial estate industry and “at comparable levels of experience, significantly more men achieve senior level positions than women.” Data and findings from that study can be viewed at: http://www.crewnetwork.org/ Program Background
