Real Estate Gala 2009

Nearly 350 persons gathered at the Four Seasons Hotel on October 28, 2009 for the Eighth Annual Real Estate Gala.  The Gala is one of the premier networking events for the real estate and development community in Chicago. It also provides an opportunity for leaders in the industry to meet students, alumni, staff and faculty.  The event also provides important funding for the education, scholarship, and training programs of the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate which sponsors the event. 

The Gala honored Hipolito (Paul) Roldan, CEO, Hispanic Housing Development Corporation with a LIFETIME INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP AWARD.  The award was presented by Andrew Mooney, Executive Director, LISC Chicago.  Mr. Roldan has established the Teresa and Hipolito Roldan Scholarship program at the school and serves on the Advisory Board of the Institute.

The Gala keynote speaker was Penny Pritzker, President and CEO, Pritzker Realty Group.  Ms. Pritzker is a member of the Economic Recovery Advisory Board and was national finance chair for President Obama’s presidential campaign.  She spoke on “Recession, Recovery & Real Estate: A National Perspective.”  She was introduced by Marshall Bennett, Co-Founder of the Chicago School of Real Estate and the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate at Roosevelt University.
